Featuring a precisely machined offset shank, these rivets compensate for minor hole misalignments (±0.2mm to ±0.8mm) common in sheet metal fabrication and electronic enclosures. Made from conductive aluminum alloys, they provide excellent EMI/RF shielding paths while offering corrosion resistance and weight savings, making them perfect for electronics, telecommunications, and electric vehicle (EV) battery pack assembly.

Surface Treatment/Finishes:
* **Clear Chromate Conversion Coating (Alodine / Chem Film):** Standard for Aluminum. Provides good corrosion resistance, maintains conductivity, and prepares surface for painting (if needed). Yellow or clear options. RoHS compliant.
* **Anodizing (Hard Coat or Clear):** Optional. Significantly increases surface hardness, wear, and corrosion resistance. Clear anodizing maintains appearance & conductivity better than colored. Can slightly increase dimensions.
* **Zinc Plating (Less Common):** Sometimes used for specific conductivity or compatibility requirements, requires special aluminum preparation.
How to Use:
1. **Prepare Holes:** Drill clean holes to nominal shank diameter (`d1`) in both materials. Deburr thoroughly.
2. **Insert & Align:** Insert the rivet. Carefully **rotate the shank** to utilize the eccentricity and achieve perfect hole alignment. Ensure the head style sits flush or correctly against the outer surface.
3. **Set Rivet:** Use a **pneumatic rivet gun** or **hand lever setting tool** with the correct nosepiece/die set for the rivet size and head style. Actuate the tool. It will pull a mandrel (for blind types) or upset the tail, permanently forming the rivet and clamping the materials. The eccentric shank locks.
4. **Grounding Path:** For EMI shielding, ensure the rivet head and formed tail make clean, conductive contact with the surfaces they clamp.
5. **Torque Control:** Use calibrated tools for critical applications. Avoid over-setting.
